Dear colleagues and friends,

We invite you to join us for an online discussion on the EU’s new trade strategy.

4 Mar 2021

11:30 AM CEST

Zoom

Six years have passed since the EU launched Trade for All strategy. Amidst growing geopolitical, environmental and digital challenges, the EU is now setting its course for the future with an Open, Sustainable and Assertive Trade Policy, balancing its commitment to multilateralism and fighting climate change with defending its values and interests. Will the EU be able to walk the talk this time? Will trade sustain the recovery for Europe, if not for all?

Our panel will unpack the EU’s new trade strategy, and explore its impact on citizens, businesses and major trade partners. We are delighted to host:

  • Léa Auffret, Senior Trade Policy Officer, Team Leader at The European Consumer Organisation
  • Susan Danger, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU
  • Ignacio García Bercero, Director for Trade Strategy and Multilateral Affairs at DG Trade
  • Iuliu Winkler, Vice-Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade

The event will be moderated by Alan Beattie, Senior Trade Writer at The Financial Times.

Tune in on Thursday, March 4th at 11.30 CEST on Zoom. Link and password will be provided before the event. Join the conversation by using #CambreTalksTrade.
